EcoBio VpCI

Historically, polyethylene and wax coatings have been used to provide a moisture barrier. The resulting paper product is more difficult to recycle through normal channels and may end up as landfill waste. In contrast, the VpCI^® and barrier coatings used on EcoBio VpCI^®-144 Barrier Paper allow the paper to be recyclable in standard paper recycling streams while also being biodegradable.

EcoBio Barrier Paper is a premium recyclable, repulpable, biodegradable barrier paper designed with the “circular economy” in mind. Made from 100% recycled paper stock treated with a biobased, biodegradable barrier coating that resists moisture, grease, and oil; EcoBio Barrier Paper provides a competitive alternative to polyethylene and wax paper, with comparable water vapor barrier properties. It is also available as linerboard.

-146 Paper is a certified compostable corrosion inhibiting paper that relies on Cortec’s patented biodegradable Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibiting Technology. Both sides of EcoBio VpCI^®

-146 Paper offer effective corrosion protection to ferrous and non-ferrous metals, eliminating the need to stock a variety of papers for different metal types. EcoBio VpCI^®-146 Paper is made from recycled paper stock and contains 92% USDA certified biobased content. After use, it can either be recycled in standard recycling streams or composted in an industrial composting facility. When composted, EcoBio VpCI^®– 146 Paper becomes humus with no eco-toxicity to the soil, making it a unique “circular economy” corrosion inhibiting packaging option.
