VpCI®-309 Pouch – Corrosion Inhibiting VpCI® Pouch for Ferrous Metals

VpCI-309 Pouch contains a Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI) powder for corrosion protection of ferrous metals in recessed areas, interior cavities, and voids. The pouches are constructed from breathable Tyvek®, which allows the VpCI molecules to be emitted through the membrane and form a molecular layer on metal surfaces providing corrosion protection. VpCI-309 pouch is easy to use: there are no chemical concentrations to calculate and no need for special equipment for application; just determine the number of pouches required per unit space. VpCI-309 Pouches provide a clean method for corrosion protection. VpCI-309 Pouch provides an extremely efficient dry method to protect metals within an enclosed space. The VpCI vaporizes and adsorbs on all metal surfaces reach- ing all exposed areas including recessed sections and interior cavities. VpCI-309 Pouches are available as a string of 50 pouches. Crimped edges may be cut to form smaller strings or even individual pouches on site. Custom orders are also available.

BioPouch is a revolutionary “green” Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI) for protection of metal parts in a non-ventilating space. BioPouch is powered by a NANO-VpCI primarily made from agricultural byproducts. It is the latest advancement in vapor phase corrosion inhibit-ing technology. NANO-VpCI emit from the pouch and saturate the enclosure via diffusion, filling all void spaces, and recessed areas with protective vapor molecules. These molecules are attracted to and adsorb onto metallic surfaces, resulting in the formation of a nano protective barrier layer. Studies have shown the ability for VpCI molecules to provide protection in the presence of corrosive species, (i.e. chlorides, moisture, sulfides) and displace them at the metal surface.

VpCI®-609 is a water-soluble Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI ®) powder for wet or dry corrosion protection of ferrous metals and aluminum. VpCI®-609 is also available as VpCI®-609 S (with silica) and VpCI®-609 W (ready-to-use liquid version).

Package: VpCI®-609/609 S powders are available in 5 pound (2.3 kg), 50 pound (23 kg), and 100 pound (45 kg) moisture barrier bags packed in fiber-lined drums.
