Description: Developed for seasonal, short-term, or long-term layup, Cooling Loop Gator® protects enclosed systems from corrosion for up to 12 months. Delivering the power of Cortec®’s unique Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibiting (VpCI®) powder inside a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) water-soluble bag, each Cooling Loop Gator® treats up to 250 gallons (0.95 m3) of water.
Through multi-phase corrosion protection, Cooling Loop Gator® forms a molecular barrier on metal surfaces above and below the waterline. This supports both wet layup and wet/dry layup, including systems partially drained after treatment to reduce freeze risk, where the VpCI® component continues to protect drained, recessed, and hard-to-reach areas.
Because Cooling Loop Gator® does not interfere with operations, there is no additional cleaning or flushing required to bring cooling systems back online after layup.
Cooling Loop Gator® is also available in a molybdate-free version, Cooling Loop Gator® MF, for applications limiting or prohibiting molybdate usage.

Packaging & Storage:
Cooling Loop Gator® and Cooling Loop Gator® MF are available in 2.2 lb (1 kg) water-soluble bags, each approximately 10” x 14” (25 cm x 35 cm), with four bags per box. To ensure best product performance, keep sealed in original packaging, indoors, and out of direct sunlight at 40–100° F (4– 38° C).
