A homeowner in Ohio pumped out his 400 liter (1500 gal) septic tank for $430 USD. He began regularly flushing one ECO-SEPT™ pouch down his toilet every month and continued to do so for the next five years. These pouches contain diverse microbiology designed to activate biodegradation of solid waste. Although septic tanks usually need to be pumped out every two years, this tank continued to pass inspections and, after five years, still had not required pumping, saving the homeowner several hundred dollars on routine maintenance costs at a small fraction of pumping costs.

When a new boiler and deaerator were installed at a midwestern college, the chief engineer wanted to guard against corrosion problems of the past that typically occurred when the boiler was idle and drained for annual inspection and maintenance. To prevent this problem going forward, Boiler Lizards were added to strategic points in boiler and deaerator internals. Corrosion coupons were placed and the systems were closed. Months later at startup, no internal corrosion was found upon inspection. This was impressive given the pooling of water from a leaking steam valve. The boilers were filled with deaerated water, drained, and refilled before bringing them back on line. Iron levels were 20 times lower than past startups, and the customer was extremely satisfied with the results.

Due to the strong solvent smell, hazards, and inadequate corrosion protection of the solvent-based paint they were using, a refrigerator coil manufacturer decided to switch to VpCI®-386. They kept this water-based paint in their dip tank, circulating the product to keep it mixed and covering the tank when not dipping the coils. As a result, the manufacturer was able to reduce their VOCs while also achieving superior corrosion protection.
