March 8th is the second annual National Biobased Products Day in the U.S.! This is a great time to reflect on the increasing number of opportunities to replace petroleum-based products with renewable materials for greater sustainability. At Cortec®, we are proud to facilitate this shift with a growing portfolio of USDA Certified Biobased Products.
For decades, Cortec® has been looking for ways to reduce environmental impact while effectively fighting corrosion. When the voluntary labeling initiative of the USDA BioPreferred® Program* came along, it was a perfect match for Cortec’s environmental ingenuity. Cortec® was one of the first 500 companies to receive a USDA Certified Biobased Product label after the program was launched in 2011 and is therefore considered a BioPreferred® Program Pioneer.
