DESCRIPTION
VpCI®-226 film and bags function as a replacement for conventional rust preventatives such as oils, coatings, and desiccants. Extruded with Cortec’s unique Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI®) technology, VpCI®-226 offers continuous, nitrite-free, multi-metal protection by forming a molecular barrier on all metal surfaces sealed within the film—even recessed or otherwise hard-to-reach areas.
By eliminating the need for oils or coatings, products and components protected with VpCI®-226 are ready for immediate use, with no cleaning or degreasing required. Depending on mil thickness, VpCI®-226 offers up to five years of protection against rust, tarnish, stains, white rust, and oxidation.
VpCI®-226 contains no nitrites, amines, phosphates, or halogen-based materials.

PACKAGING & STORAGE
VpCI®-226 is available in rolls of film in a wide variety of widths and gauges, as well as bags, liners, perforated sheeting, coil covers, and tubing. VpCI®-226 is also available in UV-resistant and high-performance shrink formulations.
